MANAGEMENT STAFF

José C. Torres, PE, RME, CPMM

Mr. Torres is the Company President and responsible for the overall firm management. With more than 17 years of experience in the field, he is skilled in client development, negotiations and contracts, and oversees all projects for quality control standards. He possesses a strong working knowledge of both strategic and tactical planning strategies for complex construction projects from conception to completion. He is skilled in Engineering Operations, Maintenance Management, Project Management, Lean and Reliability Maintenance Programs, Energy & Water Conservation Strategies and manufacturing and packaging equipment maintenance and operations. Prior to joining FITS, he worked at Pfizer and the Mennonite General Hospital as Facilities Manager. Mr. Torres holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering. He is a registered professional engineer and an active member of the Puerto Rico Engineers and Surveyors College (CIAPR). He is well recognized in the industry by his ability to optimize operations, achieve business targets and cost improvement. He has also been responsible for developing strategic alliances for engineering services, facilities maintenance outsourcing, maintenance and repairs spare parts, and general maintenance programs.

Agustín A. Aguilar Crespo, ESQ

Lic. Agustín Aguilar is the Company Operations Manager. Mr. Aguilar is responsible for ensuring organizational effectiveness by providing leadership to the day to day operations and Human Resources activities. He also works with the management team, contributing in the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices. Prior to joining FITS, Mr. Aguilar worked as an executive director for a governmental agency, where he managed federal programs and handled federal proposals. Mr. Aguilar served as an administrative judge, thus proving his vast knowledge in Administrative Law. Before joining the judge position, he was a consulting attorney in different types of legislation, contracts and administrative law. Upon graduating from law school he served as a university professor where he lectured subjects related to Criminal Law and Evidence, to students coursing a bachelor degree. Agustín A. Aguilar holds a Bachelors degree in Social Sciences and a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico.
